Molly
Lead Primary II Teacher
Molly is the Lead Primary II Teacher. She grew up in Underhill and earned her Early Childhood Education teaching license from Tulane University. She taught at Burlington Children's Space before returning to a Montessori classroom. She believes no two children learn the same way, and that small group lessons, hands-on materials, and learning at their own pace suit growing minds.
What this looks like in practice
In Molly's primary room, children from three to six work with materials they choose and return when finished. She moves through the room, sitting beside one child, then another. Parents hear this steady attention: quiet talk, room to finish, help only when needed.
A child who works this way starts to carry it home. They finish a puzzle before starting another. They put their cup back in the cupboard without being asked. They tell you what they did, in order, because they chose it and saw it through. That is what independence looks like at four or five, and it builds each week with practice.
