A close look at how the classroom runs and what your child does there.

"The primary goal of Montessori education is to prepare the whole child to reach his full potential in all areas of life." - M. Montessori

Maria Montessori believed that education should be a preparation for the "whole life". Like Montessori's first Casa, ours is structured as a mini community with a multi-aged grouping that models the real world.

What this looks like in practice

A Montessori morning moves at the child's pace. Children choose work from shelves holding practical life exercises, sensorial materials, language, math, geography, botany, history, music, art and creative play. Some settle at a table, some work on a mat. A teacher moves between them, guiding toward the next step. Nothing is rushed, and nothing is ranked.

A child who chooses her own work, finishes it, and puts it back carries that order home. The mixed ages let younger children watch older ones and older children teach what they know. Over time this builds independence and confidence that parents notice at the dinner table. It comes from a day spent among materials a child can reach by herself.
